GatherGoGet

The State of Florida is leading the nation in an effort to provide our residents with an even more secure identification document. Beginning January 1, 2010, Floridians renewing or obtaining a new driver license/identification card will be required to show proof of 1)identification, 2)Social Security number and 3)two items of residential address.

To assist residents with these changes and to make the visit less stressful for all involved, the Florida Deparment of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has prepared a statewide public awareness initiative to encourage Floridians to gather their necessary documents, go to a driver license office and get their new card.

On the GatherGoGet website, residents will be able to:

  • Determine when you will need to visit a driver license office.
  • Create a personalized checklist detailing documents you will need.
  • Obtain contact information for where to get the required documents.
